چکیده
A total of 487samples (77 and 410 of poultry feed ingredients and poultry feed, respectively) received from various parts of the country were analysed for detection of Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1). Overall incidence of AFB1 in feed ingredients was 60 percent. The average contamination and maximum levels of AFB1 were 37.62 and 56 g/kg, respectively, whereas, the incidence in poultry feed samples was 44.39 percent with average contamination and maximum levels of 23.75 and 78 g/kg, respectively. However, maximum level of AFB1 was higher (78g/kg) in poultry feed samples as compared to feed ingredients (56g/kg). Furthermore, higher incidence and average contamination level of AFB1 were recorded in mash feeds (49.68 percent and 25.12g/kg, respectively) than in crumb feeds (41.32 percent and 22.37g/kg, respectively). A higher incidence of AFB1 was observed during the rainy months i.e. July & August in 2009 (53.85 & 60.86 percent, with contamination levels of 56 & 56 g/kg, respectively) and in 2010 (68.18 & 69.44 percent with contamination levels of 78 & 56 g/kg, respectively) than in other months of these years.

Background: This cross sectional study was conducted to evaluate the effect of &gamma-rays and electron-beam irradiation with a commercial toxin binder-milbond-TX on the performance, feed components, and meat quality of Japanese quails challenged with aflatoxin B1. Methods: Overall, 168 One-d-old chicks (Japanese quails) were allocated to eight treatments with three replicates based on a com...

AIM Detection of aflatoxin B1 in Livestock compound Feed and feed ingredients by high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Chromatography was performed on HPTLC silica gel 60 F 254, aluminum sheets by CAMAG automatic TLC sampler 4, with mobile phase condition chloroform:acetone:water (28:4:0.06). Extraction of aflatoxin B1 from samples was done as per AOAC meth...

In the present study, mycobiota and natural occurrence of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in pellet feed and feed ingredients used in a feed manufacturing plant for rainbow trout nutrition was investigated. The samples were cultured on the standard isolation media for 2 weeks at 28 ºC. Identification of fungal isolates was implemented based on the macro- and microscopic morphological criteria. AFB1 was d...

The in vitro affinity and adsorption capacity of a humic acid, oxihumate, for aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) was evaluated, utilizing Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. Oxihumate showed a high in vitro affinity for AFB1. The Freundlich isotherm fitted the data better than the Langmuir isotherm, and binding capacities of 10.3, 7.4, and 11.9 mg of AFB1/g of oxihumate at pH 3, 5, and 7, respective...
